EX11 Blue

Blue is the worlds favourite colour, apparently.  It evokes all sorts of emotions for many different people.  Many believe that the colour alone evokes many personal and intense feelings. 

This weeks exercise can be expressed quickly and easily in words.  I hope the photographs come equally as easy.  Perhaps the understanding of the colours meanings and interpretations will take a bit longer to figure out.

Explore the colour blue.  

Seek out and photograph blue photographs. Blue as in the hue ‘blue’. 

The resulting photographs can be any tone within the blue spectrum that goes between blue/white and blue/black and all the shades of blue inbetween. 

The photographs aren’t to have other colours in the composition.   

When you post your ‘blue’ photographs you can post a few if you like. Three may be a good number. 

Discuss the feelings and emotions the colour blue brings to each photograph. Consider if it’s a cold blue (Prussian Blue) or a warm blue (Colbat Blue) as this will influence the emotional response. 

What can we surmise from the emotional responses from the colour ‘Blue’? Let’s try and create a list of emotions it evokes decided into warm and cool blues.
