EX62 Having your work processed by another

The core of this exercise is to see what others can do with your work. How may they take the same raw file and process it differently to you. They may crop it differently, choose a different colour balance, or convert it to black and white. They can do what ever they feel like with it, and you get to see how it turns out.

This is also a fantastic exercise for us to get to know each other better. I believe it will be community building.

Before you start choose a photograph you think has many possibilities or has been haunting you for a while with the question ‘how could I process this one differently?’

Or you may intuitively have one you think would be good to see what others might do to it.

Process a version for yourself and keep it aside, and don’t show anyone.

Now create a virtual copy, and reset it, putting all the settings back to the start. You can export it as a DNG

Upload it. You can upload raw photographs as attachments if you like, and they will maintain their original file size.

If you upload a jpg it will be reduced to 1950 x 1250 pixels.

I will add mine… Download the file here.

i will also add this DNG to the forum page.

Post your photographs in the forum here.
