EX75 Proximity and Similarity

We have had a few very hard weekly exercises to work on lately, so this week I thought it would be prudent to ease up a little and have a lighter exercise to play with.

Play with relationships between objects, that are either linked by type, subject, shape, tone, hue or size.

See if you can create relationships that don’t actually exist.

Can you make subjects that aren’t related look like they are in your compositions?

Can you put objects together in groups so we notice and see the whole group?

To help with the various ideas I have included the slides from the presentation, so you can easily revise the different ways we can get objects have relationships with each other.

Post a variety of photographs that explore relationships between the objects in your photographs.

Post them in a common post in the Exercises section of our forum. We will ask Clair to create a new post of Friday morning.
