Batemans Bay abstract workshop
Obviously having a van life moment… yet again..
Another great week away with Shirley Steel and an intrepid group of brave learners, endeavouring to learn abstract photography. I hadn’t spent much time in Batemans Bay, as I am usually heading past it going further south. I am so pleased I did. I can see why so many choose to make it home. Though I think only one in three or even four houses are occupied, with the rest being holiday homes for our friends in the ACT.
I settled into working with these ‘cartoon’ like images. I will be interested to hear what you think of them. I made a little book while I was there of them too.
Which reminds me, I will be running a zine and artist book making workshop and exhibiting my books at the Hill End Analogue Photography Festival. 14th - 16th November 2025. Please visit us. https://events.humanitix.com/hill-end-analogue-photography-zine-and-bookmaking-workshop-with-len-metcalf
Here is the link to the festival. https://hillendanalogue.com.au/
There are some other fabulous workshops on, by some incredible artists…
I am enjoying going back to my darkroom prints and revisiting them…
I have actually been working on the artists book I am making for it of my analogue prints, with Clair today. It’s ready for the images to be glued in.
