Joy Kachina is an Australian photographer based in Tasmania. It is an honour to feature her work in the next issue of Len’s Journal, volume 6 issue 1.

Joy presents us with a series of trees from the Tasmanian Wilderness, a place also close to Len’s heart. Joy’s heartfelt images of the Miena Cider Gums, which are an endangered species, are captivating and remind us of the complexities of nature.

If you are in Tasmania, or visiting this month, you are lucky enough to have the opportunity to see Joy’s work at her upcoming group exhibition ‘Tales from the trees of old’ at the Long Gallery in Hobart.
