Book making is an incredible way to make meaningful art objects with your beautiful photographs.
Making artists books isn’t anywhere as hard as you imagine. In fact it is easy and loads of fun.
Once you start you probably won’t ever stop.
In these hands on workshops Len will take you through a few basic book making skills.
These include:
cutting and folding paper
simple book binding stitch to sew papers together
making a simple hard cover
gluing
using lightroom or layout software to print your pages
two simple zines
one folded hard cover book
We will provide you with the raw materials so you can finish the workshop with some hand made artists books and zines.
During this workshop we will show you how to make a simple book with your own photographic prints (like the ones you used to get at chemist), how to print your own folded paper books, how to make a hard cover.
