PR49 Surrealism and historical perspectives
Surrealism has its roots in psychology and the political times of world war one. It is often tied to the DADA art movement. In this presentation Len takes us on a journey through some important surrealist artists and finishes on Man Ray’s surrealist photography.
There is a correction, Lee Miller and Man Ray, were the first to use solarisation as a creative expression in art. It was a known effect throughout the history of photography.

Len shows us the differences between global contrast, mid tone contrast and textural contrast. He shows us other forms of contrast with some paintings and photographs.

In this presentation, Len discussed a little bit of the theory of how our cells are controlled by our thoughts and environment.
