EX173 Laying out diptychs

Following on from the last exercise, this week we are going to play with the layouts of just two photographs on the same page. You can do this in photoshop, or lightroom or luminar. Each has a different way of doing it. I have attached a video of how I do it in the print module of lightroom. Alternatively you could always us a book making app or software.

Take a diptych from the last exercise, or create a new one. Try and share different layouts of these two images on a page and experiment with the white space and the layout.

How does the layout change their meanings and presentation for you.

How creative can you be with the layout of just two images on one page.

To make this easier choose a 2 : 1 ratio sheet of paper to do it on. You don’t have to stick to this if you don’t wish.

Upload your variations to our forum for discussion. We will meet on Tuesday, 16th May 2023 in Len’s Class to discuss your variations. Up load each diptych as a seperate jpeg. https://lensclub.discussion.community/post/ex173-laying-out-diptychs-12623093?pid=1335043067#post1335043067
