I am so sick of social media
I was scrolling instagram on Monday with Clair, and we didn’t find a single photograph of the thousands of photographers accounts I follow. Not one. Four suggested photographers later and hundreds of algorithm curated posts and advertisements, not one photograph. I am finding it a huge political time suck at the moment. So giving it up is on my to do list. I imagine there will be some separation anxiety there when I do. I am a bit of a climate change wormhole atm. I will save that for another time.
I want you to join Len’s lounge and post there instead. A feed without AI, or algorithms or advertising, but of just beautiful photographs, that we can love and comment on, and leave all the agro behind. A supportive community. We have an app, so you can put it on your phone. And most importantly it is free. I might have to abandon facebook too. To know that they are stealing our images from there to feed their AI machines.
I have really slowed down in the past week, and getting lots done. I am working on some more small books atm. I hope to show them to you soon, and offer them for sale.
