EX83 Repetitions

Please note.. I have messed up the numbering system… and have jumped two numbers with this exercise so that I can move the two that have no home to these two spots. Am always so thankful to those of you who notice these things and let me know. Thank you.

This weeks exercise is about intentionally seeking repetitions to include in your photographs.

These can be anything that you notice that repeats. This may include, but is not limited to:

  • Shapes

  • Forms

  • Lines

  • Curves

  • Colours

  • Tones

  • Concepts

To push yourself, see if you can find more than just the obvious repetitions. If you have seen shape before, or colour, see if you can find something different that repeats.

We are going for repetitions that improve the photograph, rather than just exploring them for the sake of fun. I think tonal areas of mass are very good ones to practice on. We often see them and talk about how the area repeats strengthening the image. I challenge you to push yourself.

As usual please only post three photographs and post them in our forum here.
