EX84 Identifying colour palettes

This week we are going to explore your favorite photographs by determining their colour palettes.

Firstly find your favorite colour photographs. Ones that sing in colour rather than the ones that jump out at you because of that magical moment you caught, or a subject that just worked so intensely. Find colour photographs in your own collection that sing to you because the colours worked well together.

Once you have identified it, upload it to the colour picker at

https://colour.adobe.com/create/color-wheel

Use the extract theme option option

Then screen shot your results showing your colours on the colour wheel.

What does this tell you about the colours that are in your photograph?

How are the colours spread around the colour wheel.

Lets see if we can see any patterns emerging?

Upload three of your photographs.

Then turn to artworks you love and try adding a painting you love. Post two artworks and their colour palettes showing the colour wheel in this weeks exercise at the forum.

We will be discussing this on Friday at 1 pm Sydney time in our Zoom meeting then posting that video here.
